Building Strong Communities
Valley of the Sun United Way has three primary focus areas: Ensuring Children and Youth Succeed, Ending Hunger and Homelessness, and Increasing the Financial Stability of Individuals and Families. We develop and invest in programs throughout Maricopa County that demonstrate measureable and lasting results in these areas.
In order for the work in our three focus areas to be as successful as possible, we need to establish a strong foundation by creating healthy community conditions. To that end we also invest in Healthy Community Programs that promote quality neighborhood living conditions, adequate health and human services, and opportunities for learning and developing personal capacity.
No agency or program can do it alone. It takes coordination and an entire network of programs and services to make our communities stronger and healthier. And it takes support from people like you.
