Help Promote the Health of a Valley Neighborhood
August 14, 2009
Together with the city of Phoenix's Neighborhood Services and Public Works Departments and the Arizona Diamondbacks, Valley of the Sun United Way is calling all Community Champions for a Neighborhood Clean Up on Saturday, August 29 from 6:30 -10:00 a.m. Ending neighborhood blight helps support our community objective to improve the health and safety of neighborhoods.
The clean-up will take place from 39th to 43rd Avenues, McDowell to Thomas Roads – an area that has seen positive results through the generous donations of United Way donors. All volunteers are asked to check-in at the Human Services Department's Adam Diaz Senior Center, 4115 W. Thomas Road, at 6:30 a.m. on event day. Help us to continue improving this area by calling (602) 495-0380 to volunteer today.
