Position Summary:

This position is a member of the Finance & Administration department and reports directly to the Vice President of Donor Services and is responsible for managing the agency certification process. This process involves using defined criteria to evaluate and make decisions on whether an agency will be given a donor choice certification. This position is also responsible for managing all donor correspondence, as well as maintaining the accuracy of and updating donor information in the donor database. 
 
Major Responsibilities:

• Certify donor choice designated agencies.
• Review and make corrections as necessary to donor biographical information.
• Assist in keeping donor database accurate by reviewing and updating information as necessary.
• Assist other department team members with projects as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

• Education: High School graduate. Some college helpful.
• Three plus years progressive experience working in an office environment that involved extensive use of word processing/database use and multiple project work.
• Must possess good analytical ability.
• Motivated self-starter with lots of initiative and minimal supervision.
• Must have strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast paced environment and multi-task.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to develop good working relationships with staff, volunteers and vendors.
• Must possess a “can do” attitude and willingness to do what is required to get job done.
• Must work well as part of a team and promote and support the goals of the organization as efined.

Technical Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Demonstrated proficiency in Outlook.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word. 
• Ability to use the internet to research and find information necessary to accomplish tasks.
• Demonstrated and proven comfort level with learning new software applications as necessary.

Physical demands and work environment:

• Work is performed primarily in an office setting and while performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, and demonstrate manual dexterity. 
• During specific times of the year, the employee is required to visit a variety of direct service settings across the community.  Additional mobility is required during this activity. 
• Occasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy objects (up to 25 pounds) during the course of the workday.  

Other Requirements:
• Ability to work hours outside the standard 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM timeframe and to travel, if necessary.
• Valid Arizona driver’s license, proof of automobile insurance, and daily access to personal vehicle.
