Position Summary:

Lead and execute monthly Project Connect events to achieve quality and numeric goals. Assume primary responsibility for ongoing planning and delivery of Project Connect, including reporting, provider recruitment and cross-departmental efforts for volunteer recruitment. Work as a team member for the Ending Hunger and Homelessness Community Objective. Provide other assistance to community objective strategies and tactics as requested.

 

Summary of Activities:

 

Project Management:

 

·         Ability to adapt to changing environments and manage multiple priorities, organize interpret and communicate data.

·         Ability to manage the planning, organization, monitoring and control of all aspects of project collaboration with the partners in the community to achieve the project objectives.

·         Report program status to Community Solutions Team, Community Impact, and community committee/board meetings as requested by the Vice President.

·         Submit reports to Vice President, Community Impact.

·         Communicates regulary with Vice President, Community Impact.

 

Relationship Management:

 

·         Skills to build new relationships that expand the services offered at Project Connect events, as well as maintain existing relationships.

·         Must have ability to work cros-functionally with the other departments at VSUW to achieve the longer term Balanced Scorecard objectives for the organization.

·         Collect and input data into data management systems.

·         Monitor data for accuracy.

 

Data Management:

 

·         Ability to collect, review, and interpret data for the purpose of program evaluation.

·         Knowledgable in relevant subject manner.

·         Collect and input data into data management system; monitor data for accuracy.

·         Ability to partner with HMIS (Homeless Management Information System).

·         Review reports for accuracy, cross-checking with database.

·         Disseminate and email status reports to partners.  

·         Update Microsoft CRM.

 

Support Ending Hunger and Homelessness Community Objective Plan:

 

·         Participate, and facilitate as needed, the monthly Coalition of Relief Services and assist with support activities related to this monthly meeting.

·         Participate with external consitutents to facilitate project implementation.

·         Work as a team member to identify intersections that cross community objectives to efficiently deliver results.

 

 Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Meeting facilitation skills, consensus building.
  • Ability to conceptualize and develop strategies.
  • Multi-task oriented with an attention to details.
  • Inventory tracking to manage in-kind items.
  • Proficiency in database design, project planning tools and all other Microsoft products.
  • Ability to analyze and process confidential data.

  • Microsoft CRM

 

Other Requirements:

  • Education:  Bachelors in Social Services, Nonprofit Management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience:
    • Non profit experience a plus.

-       Any equivalent combination of education, experience and training that provides the knowledge and abilities to do the job.

  • Valid Arizona driver’s license, proof of auto insurance coverage, daily access to personal vehicle.

 

Physical demands and work environment:

·         Work is performed primarily in an office setting and while performing the duties of this job the employee is regulary required to stand, sit and demonstrate manual dexterity.

·         Weekly the employee is required to visit a variety of direct service settings across the community. Additional mobility is required during this activity.

·         Occasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy objects (up to 25 pounds) during the course of the workday.
